The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has proposed a new tax scheme designed specifically for small businesses in Pakistan. This initiative targets shopkeepers with an annual turnover of up to Rs200 million.
Under this scheme, eligible businesses will only need to pay a tax rate of one percent on their gross turnover. This move is expected to simplify tax compliance for many small enterprises.
Additionally, businesses participating in this scheme will be exempt from routine audits, significantly reducing the administrative burden and allowing them to focus on growth.
